China Achieves Breakthrough in Key Technology for Liquid Hydrogen Fuel Aero-Turbine Power

According to the Aero Engine Corporation of China (AECC), the AEP100 liquid hydrogen-fueled turboprop engine, independently developed by the hydrogen aviation power team of the AECC Aero-engine Research Institute, recently completed ignition and performance debugging tests in a ground test environment. During the tests, all indicators of the engine and the liquid hydrogen transport system were normal, and the engine operated stably under all conditions, marking the first time in China that a megawatt-class liquid hydrogen-fueled aero-engine has met overall performance standards.
