Bank of China International published a research report stating that SUNNY OPTICAL (02382.HK) is expected to meet performance expectations in the second half of 2025, primarily driven by a strong increase in the average selling price of smartphones and robust performance in the automotive business segment. The company's positive guidance for 2026 indicates that it will continue to gain market share in the high-end smartphone lens module (HLS) and smartphone camera module (HCM) sectors.

The report noted that management also emphasized its long-term strategic layout in the optical communication field, believing that its core competitiveness in optical precision manufacturing and the accumulation of visual sensing data will enable it to seize new opportunities in the AI era. The report considers this crucial for potential valuation reassessment.

The report indicated that it has raised the company's earnings per share forecasts for this year and next year by 5% and 3%, respectively, to reflect new guidance on operating expense control, with the target price lowered from 82 yuan to 72 yuan, maintaining a "Buy" rating
