General Office of the State Council: Support Eligible Credit Investigation Agencies in Operating Financing and Credit Service Platforms

The General Office of the State Council has issued the "Implementation Plan for Establishing a Comprehensive Evaluation System for Enterprise Credit Status." It mentions better leveraging credit evaluation to support financing for small, medium, and micro enterprises. Financial institutions are encouraged to rely on the national integrated financing and credit service platform network, to reasonably use public credit evaluation results, and to improve models for credit granting, risk assessment, and interest rate pricing. For enterprises with higher credit evaluation ratings, requirements for collateral and pledge guarantees are to be reduced, and the coverage and proportion of credit loans are to be gradually expanded. Eligible credit investigation agencies are to be supported in participating in the operation of financing and credit service platforms to objectively, accurately, and comprehensively reflect the credit status of small, medium, and micro enterprises. The role of the People's Bank of China's credit market service platform is to be fully utilized to enhance credit evaluation levels for small, medium, and micro enterprises.
