Iran and Oman Draft Strait of Hormuz Transit Agreement, S&P Turns Higher, Emerging Market Currencies Rise

Iranian media IRNA quoted Deputy Foreign Minister Gharibabadi as reporting that Iran and Oman have drafted an agreement on navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

Currently, WTI crude oil has fallen below the $107/barrel mark, trading at $106.83/barrel.

Spot gold rose $24.41/ounce in five minutes, trading at $4687.55/ounce.

The S&P 500 Index and Nasdaq 100 Index quickly turned higher.

The emerging market foreign exchange index turned higher, with the Brazilian Real and Colombian Peso gaining, and the Mexican Peso and South African Rand narrowing their losses.
