VN needs national standards for real estate brokerage

Vietnam is addressing the need for national standards in real estate brokerage due to rapid workforce expansion outpacing professional standards and transparency. Currently, only 10% of the 300,000 brokers hold valid certificates, leading to risks and undermined market confidence. The Vietnam Association of Real Estate Brokers (VARS) is collaborating with the Ministry of Construction to establish standards aimed at improving service quality and market transparency. Experts suggest that lessons from international markets can guide the development of a professional brokerage system, emphasizing the importance of legal knowledge and ethical standards.
