Brazilian pulp giant Suzano stated that if the war between the United States and Israel on Iran continues, global prices for toilet paper, paper towels, and diapers will rise. As transportation and chemical costs increase, related companies are seeking to pass on these high expenses. Paulo Leime, Managing Director for Suzano's Europe, Middle East, and Africa region, said, "There is no doubt that costs are increasing across the entire system, across the entire value chain... This will inevitably put pressure on paper prices. If this crisis continues... inflation will sweep across multiple products, not just paper and tissues."
