Berkshire Hathaway (BRK) issues ¥1.7 billion yen bonds
Warren Buffett's investment flagship Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.B.US) on Friday set terms for a yen-denominated bond issuance totaling 272.3 billion yen (1.7 billion USD), marking the company's third-largest yen bond transaction ever.
According to documents filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the funds raised will primarily be used to refinance yen bonds maturing in 2026 and to finance part of its investment in Tokio Marine Holdings. Two bonds totaling 133.9 billion yen are expected to mature this month
