Grant Thornton survey: A widening ‘AI proof gap’ is emerging, but well-governed AI is showing results
In Chicago, a recent survey conducted by Grant Thornton highlighted a concerning "AI proof gap" in the business world. This term refers to a disparity between the substantial investments being made in AI technology and the corresponding lack of accountability. Tom Puthiyamadam, the managing partner of Advisory Services at Grant Thornton Advisors LLC, emphasized this issue, stating that despite the significant financial commitments to AI, there is a noticeable absence of accountability measures. The survey findings indicated that although a majority of companies have integrated AI solutions, numerous teams struggle to quantify the actual impact or results produced by this technology.
