On Monday, fuel cell company Bloom Energy reached an expanded power supply agreement with tech giant Oracle, becoming the latest beneficiary of the energy arms race for AI data centers.
Under the agreement, Oracle plans to purchase up to 2.8 gigawatts of Bloom fuel cell systems to support its AI and cloud computing infrastructure construction in the United States. Bloom stated that the initial 1.2-gigawatt capacity has been contractually secured, deployment is underway, and will continue into next year.
