In its 2025 annual report and performance meeting, Hainan Mining disclosed a significant increase of 15.47 million tons in resources at the Bougouni lithium mine in Mali, marked as compliant with JORC standards. However, this was refuted by another shareholder of the project, Codex Mining, which claimed the data were merely internal estimates without independent audit or compliance verification. Hainan Mining responded that no such issue exists, stated it had already communicated with the counterpart, and pledged to synchronize information disclosure as much as possible in the future. Additionally, KMUK has initiated arbitration proceedings against the Malian government for $15 million in compensation claims. (Everyday Network)
