Under the banner of "Big Banks," the forecast for Macau's April gaming revenue has been downgraded to MOP 20 billion
Citigroup published a research report indicating that industry data shows that Macau's gaming revenue for the first 19 days of April may reach approximately MOP 12.4 billion, which means that the average daily gaming revenue for the past week was about MOP 636 million, an increase of about 1% compared to the previous week.
The bank believes that part of the reason for the weak gaming revenue may be due to the VIP room win rate being far below normal levels, lowering the April gaming revenue forecast from MOP 20.5 billion to MOP 20 billion, which implies that the average daily gaming revenue for the remaining days of this month will be about MOP 691 million. The bank believes that the Weibo International Entertainment Gala, to be held at the Galaxy Macau, may help alleviate the potential weak performance of gaming revenue before the Labor Day Golden Week
