Fed Chair Nominee Walsh: Will Never Be Trump's "Puppet"
U.S. President Donald Trump's nominee for Federal Reserve Chair, Kevin Walsh, stated at his Senate confirmation hearing that he would not become Trump's "puppet." This statement was made in response to a question from Republican Senator John Kennedy. Walsh also noted, "The President has never asked me to commit to any specific interest rate decision, and even if he had, I would never agree. But he never did so."
