US Prosecutors: Trump's DOJ Will Not Drop Fed Investigation, Plans Appeal of Judge's Order Blocking Powell Subpoena
On April 22, US Prosecutor Jeanine Pirro once again emphasized her highly controversial investigation into the Federal Reserve, stating she is "pressing forward." At a press conference held that morning, Pirro declared she would not back down. "The cost of that building has far exceeded $1 billion. The investigation continues," Pirro said. "I am on the legal track; some are on the political track. I do not cross with those two tracks," she stated.
This investigation has jeopardized the Senate's confirmation proceedings for Kevin Warsh's nomination as Federal Reserve Chair.
