Aito Upgrades Driver Incapacitation Assistance Function
On April 23, Aito launched its industry-first road hazard warning feature. When a vehicle equipped with ADS detects a hazard, it can autonomously report it to the cloud. The cloud system will then notify other nearby vehicles also equipped with ADS. When approaching the location of the hazard, the system will remind the driver to exercise caution.
In 2025, Aito will introduce the industry's first driver incapacitation assistance function, enabling safe roadside stops. This time, the driver incapacitation assistance has been upgraded to version 2.0. In the event of sudden driver incapacitation on highways, the vehicle can autonomously drive to the nearest service area, toll station, or other safe zones to park.
