Android Malware Targets Banking and Crypto Apps
According to NS3.AI, cybersecurity firm Zimperium has identified four active Android malware families that are targeting over 800 applications related to banking, cryptocurrency, and social media. These campaigns are capable of stealing user credentials, capturing one-time passcodes, and overlaying fake login pages on legitimate applications. Zimperium noted that the use of anti-analysis techniques and APK tampering often results in low detection rates against traditional signature-based security tools.
