Development map redrawn to drive double-digit growth

Vietnam has revised its national and regional development plans through 2030, focusing on technology and innovation to achieve double-digit economic growth. Announced by the Ministry of Finance, the plans aim to reorganize development spaces, enhance regional connectivity, and create new growth hubs. The country targets upper-middle-income status by 2030, with GDP per capita projected at $8,500. Key sectors include electronics, digital technology, and renewable energy. The government plans to develop industrial clusters and improve infrastructure, while promoting advanced agricultural practices. The National Assembly approved amendments to the master plan in December 2025.
