
UOB moves tech workforce to fuel Southeast Asia digital growth

United Overseas Bank (UOB) has relocated its technology workforce to the Punggol Digital District in Singapore, establishing a $500 million global technology and innovation center. The facility will house over 3,000 employees and is designed for digital development, featuring AI-enabled tools and robotics. This move supports UOB's digital-first strategy and Singapore's Smart Nation agenda, enhancing collaboration across ASEAN. UOB is also expanding its AI capabilities and has launched various programs to support AI adoption among small and medium-sized enterprises. The bank's digital banking application, UOB TMRW, will be developed at this site.
