Customers must have Plug &amp; Charge or a Shell Recharge account set up in the My BMW app to get the lower price.</p><p>Ionna charges between $0.33-$0.39/kWh at its stations for everybody, so a 20% discount leads to a price that hovers between $0.27/kWh and $0.32/kWh for BMW and Mini EV owners. This is Ionna’s second special pricing campaign, after the 10% discount offered to GM EV drivers earlier this year.</p><p>“BMW firmly believes in an electric future, and it’s no secret that reliable high-speed charging infrastructure remains essential to the continued growth of the electric vehicle market,” said Shaun Bugbee, Executive Vice President, BMW of North America. “We currently offer one of the broadest portfolios of premium electric vehicles in the U.S., with the next-generation BMW iX3 arriving in the U.S. later this year. As our electric vehicle offerings continue to expand, initiatives like this help ensure our customers enjoy a seamless ownership experience wherever they travel.”</p><div><div id="ads_6122441_EV_ev_us_Rectangle_rectangle_1_1778831484"></div></div><p>What’s more, the up-and-coming EV charging network said it will charge just $0.20/kWh for the first week at every new location it opens up this year, as an incentive to bring people to its fast-growing network. By the end of the decade, Ionna wants to have no fewer than 30,000 DC fast charging bays capable of delivering up to 400 kW of power through a CCS or NACS cable.
