Strategy's Bitcoin Holdings Surpass Global Mining Output in 2026
Strategy has significantly increased its Bitcoin holdings, acquiring 171,238 Bitcoin year-to-date. According to NS3.AI, this acquisition surpasses the approximately 62,000 Bitcoin mined globally over the same period. Bitcoin is currently trading at just over $77,000, marking a decline of nearly 30% from a year ago. Mark Palmer of Benchmark-StoneX noted that this buying activity seems to account for the majority of net corporate and ETF-related Bitcoin accumulation in 2026.
