ONE STANLEY | Seller: Cooperating with Buildings Department Investigation; Will Remediate According to Regulations if Construction Errors Are Confirmed

Construction issues involving improper rebar placement were uncovered in a sold detached house unit at the Stanley luxury residence ONE STANLEY. In a press release issued last night, the Buildings Department stated that it found wire mesh was not installed in the protective layer of a lower-ground beam in the detached house as per the approved plans, and that the rebar placement in some floor slabs did not comply with the plans.

Jianwei Limited, a subsidiary of Kinho Property (the developer of ONE STANLEY) and the project’s seller, responded to inquiries last night, stating that it attaches great importance to the Buildings Department’s follow-up on certain construction quality matters regarding the detached house, as well as recent comments on social media, and will handle the matter seriously.

Jianwei stated that it has always placed high priority on the quality and safety of its development projects. Based on information released by the Buildings Department, the department considers that there is no obvious danger to the overall building structure of the property. The company is currently conducting detailed inquiries and verification work on the matter, including following up with relevant professionals and reviewing related information, and will do its best to cooperate with the Buildings Department’s investigation.
