BYD to build additional e-bus factory in Brazil
BYD plans to build a new e-bus factory in São Paulo, Brazil, within three years due to rising demand. The current Campinas plant's capacity is fully utilized, prompting a temporary facility to double production. The new factory will produce 6,000-7,000 chassis annually and employ 700-800 people, expanding BYD's product range to include electric trucks. The expansion aims to meet local and export demands, driven by a fleet replacement wave among public transport operators.
