Petrol prices have decreased for the second consecutive day, with Esso, Sinopec, SPC, and Caltex reducing their posted prices. Esso led the adjustments with a 5-cent drop for 92-, 95-, and 98-octane petrol, while Caltex also lowered its petrol prices but raised its diesel price by 20 cents. The current price for 95-octane petrol ranges from $3.41 to $3.42 across different companies. Meanwhile, oil prices have risen past US$100, with Brent reaching US$106 amid geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

- Petrol prices in several companies fell on March 26, following weeks of increases, with Esso leading these reductions.  
- Esso, Sinopec, and Caltex announced a 5-cent drop for various octane petrols, while Caltex also increased its diesel price by 20 cents.  
- The 95-octane petrol now ranges from $3.41 at SPC to $3.42 at other companies, amidst rising oil prices exceeding US$100, driven by geopolitical tensions involving Iran.

CNOOC(00883) rose 2.53%, with a trading turnover 4.5 Billion HKD, and a year-to-date rose 37.2%. KUAISHOU-W(01024) fell 14.04%, with a trading turnover 9.1 Billion HKD, and a year-to-date fell 28.7%. POP MART(09992) fell 10.46%, with a trading turnover 15.4 Billion HKD, and a year-to-date fell 19.7%.

- The Hang Seng Index fell by 1.89% and has decreased by 3% year-to-date.  
- The Hang Seng Tech Index dropped 3.28%, with a year-to-date decline of 13.7%.  
- Notably, Ganfeng Lithium and CNOOC showed gains of 3.74% and 2.53% respectively, while Kuaishou and Pop Mart experienced significant losses of 14.04% and 10.46%.

S reits are being punished for nothing. It is face equity like volatility and drawdown even though real estate is stable. Interest rate did not even move. I would say buy the dip!

The longer Trump or Iran delays any resolution, the longer the impact of the war will creep through the economy. Even with a ceasefire, it may be too late. 10 days is too long...

Another delay tactic or real peace talks? I believe the key is with the bond market. A big chunk of US debt is due this year and that needs to be refinanced. And that debt which was attained at record low rates will have to be priced at current rates. And those rates are going up and forcing the president’s hands. Similar to how he had to TACO last year April for similar reasons (obviously not stated on mainstream media), seems like the same this time. A middle ground needs to be reached ASAP and that is being reflected in the decisions made. If a peace accord is agreed, that will be the narrative the media will say lead to a market rally. However, when you look at technicals, there are complete 5 waves patterns all round and a bounce is already imminent! Stay safe!

Bond yields have increased due to rising inflation expectations, among other factors. Oil prices may remain elevated. Interest rates may stay higher for longer with fewer rate cuts. IMO can wait a while before buying S-REITs .

Energy, especially oil and gas, is still the strongest sector for the moment as long as the Iran war isn’t resolved.
