Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh has pledged a “regime change” focused on restoring price stability and ending what he describes as the inflation tax on American households. Markets increasingly expect a more disciplined monetary framework, even if policy remains restrictive in the near term.
For American International Group (AIG), a lower-inflation environment is a structural tailwind. Stable inflation supports bond valuations, improves investment income visibility, reduces claims-cost uncertainty, and strengthens underwriting margins.
