Several countries eliminated trachoma and sleeping sickness, while Niger became the first African nation to eliminate river blindness. Global vaccination efforts led to a significant drop in measles deaths and advancements in HPV vaccination. However, measles cases surged, highlighting ongoing challenges in public health.
