[Relationship between Stock Price and Volatility Spread] If we use a bi-weekly timeframe, plotting the return of $Rocket Lab(RKLB.US) stock price on the y-axis against the volatility spread on the x-axis, we can visualize how the volatility spread changes during periods of significant price drops or rallies over two weeks.

The pink dots and dashed line in the chart below represent $Rocket Lab(RKLB.US), while blue represents $Apple(AAPL.US).

Plotting four years of trading data on this chart reveals that when $Rocket Lab(RKLB.US)'s stock price falls, there is still a tendency for the volatility spread to rise, albeit very weakly, with a linear slope of only -0.03.

For $Apple(AAPL.US), the stock price fluctuations within the bi-weekly timeframe are tightly distributed within +/-20%, and its volatility spread has remained positive over the years (partly due to long-term holders writing covered calls).

The ups and downs of Apple's stock price show a stronger correlation with the volatility spread, with a linear fit slope of -0.241, which is 80 times that of $Rocket Lab(RKLB.US). This provides clear quantification: whenever stock price volatility occurs, the volatility spread of $Apple(AAPL.US) reacts accordingly, with an intensity 80 times higher than that of $Rocket Lab(RKLB.US).
