    Synopsys plans to stop offering a suite of manufacturing process-control software used by global chipmakers and reallocate resources to higher-margin AI design, six people familiar with the matter said.

    The company informed more than a dozen manufacturers โ€” including Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, Kioxia Holdings and Qorvo โ€” in April and May that it will end the product lifecycle, meaning no further new releases while continuing maintenance obligations.
