This is the flush that I was looking for. Some may even call it capitulation. Hallmarks of a 5th wave of a C wave on the SMH, SOXX as well as various tech names. Money is staying in equities and just rotating. I believe tech has bottomed out or is very close to.

Wall Street's fear gauges just flashed their most bearish readings in months, and the S&P 500 is less than 1.5% below its record high

$Goldman Sachs(GS.US) says its risk appetite indicator turned negative for the first time since the spring, hitting its lowest level since the early days of the Iran war, per CNBC and the WSJ

$Wells Fargo(WFC.US)'s buy/sell sentiment gauge crossed the -1 level last week, and Macro Risk Advisors' market sentiment score plunged to around 27 from roughly 61

Investors have been dumping AI names and piling into Treasurys. $SOXX logged nine straight losing days last week, its longest losing streak in 20 years

Yet the S&P 500 is trading near 7,719 at midday, just 1.3% below its Oct 6 record close of 7,818.93, and the Dow is up more than 500 points today

$Goldman Sachs(GS.US) itself frames the washout as a contrarian signal, pointing to lighter positioning, lower valuations and strong earnings

This is what a wall of worry looks like. When this many investors are already hedged and sitting in bonds, it takes a lot less good news to push the index to new highs, and the real test is whether AI earnings over the next two weeks give them a reason to come back

Many were predicting Black Monday yesterday which ultimately did not occur. This proved that while statistics could be used to gauge and predict the future, it is never accurate. Times are changing and the stock market is increasingly unpredictable with shorter but steeper bursts and dips.

Wall Street's bounce reflects technical relief after an oversold chip wash, but Asia’s skepticism is justified given ongoing yield friction and macro uncertainty. Rebuilding high-conviction exposure in core hardware remains favored, yet tactical patience is required until broader regional liquidity stabilizes.

The fear of AI slowing monetary realisation is contagious and spreading rapidly throughout the global markets. The tech sell-off that we had experienced last week was just an early indication we should take note of. At this junction, the ongoing wars, high inflationary pressure, elevated oil price, Fed further rate hikes, higher financing costs, and upcoming US midterm elections, all summed up and induced uncertainty and volatility in the market. So be cautiously optimistic investing for coming months.

The ratio for AI CAPEX to Monetary Return is approximately 16 : 1 . So the chip rout that we had experienced last week is just an early sign. The following week earnings release must be in really good number in order to convince and calm down the market’s sentiments.

the so called black monday didnt really happen. US market rebounded after last friday sell off. so it is temporary excuse for people to offload. however last night action was kinda open high close low, thus market is very shaky or maybe cautious in other words.

The US markets rebounded last night but it needs to hold the lows and follow up for this to be a sustainable rally or even a bottom before new highs.

The rebound came in the US markets but it was predominantly in Tech and on narrow breadth overall. Looks like capital rotating again on a smaller level and market still undecided which way to go.

Asian markets are diverging from Wall Street, with South Korea’s KOSPI falling about 3% and Japan’s Nikkei declining 0.9%, suggesting regional caution despite recent US market movements. The Fed’s pre-meeting blackout limits fresh policy signals, while futures pricing a sub-20% probability of an October hike indicates expectations for relatively stable near-term rates.
