$NVIDIA(NVDA.US) transfer: $Taiwan Semiconductor(TSM.US) has revised its 2025 CoWoS production capacity plan from the initial 702k units down to 625k units.
(Monthly CoWoS production capacity will expand from 36kwpm in 4Q24 to 68kwpm in 4Q25)
This is a correction to previously higher expectations (regarding some initially overestimated demand forecasts for 2025).
Nvidia initially secured ~450k CoWoS capacity at TSMC, including ~60k CoWoS-S and ~390k CoWoS-L.
However, due to Nvidia's significant reduction in production of B300A using CoWoS-S, its 2025 CoWoS capacity at TSMC has now been revised down to 397k, with only 10k CoWoS-S and 387k CoWoS-L remaining.
