Just bought some $Taiwan Semiconductor(TSM.US) $NVIDIA(NVDA.US), and the market immediately responded with a big drop. Yesterday's decline had both alpha and beta.
The core issue for the former should be the slowdown/overheating of North American data center construction. Eddie Wu just mentioned it, and Microsoft was also disclosed to further significantly slow down data center construction.
As for the latter, Trump's flip-flopping on tariffs during the trading session (this time taking a hardline stance) immediately triggered volatility across the entire market.
As for the two companies themselves, they were also separately called out by the East: first directly labeling the X Party's handover of TSMC to become "American TSMC" as XX behavior; then saying NVDA's H20 doesn't meet energy efficiency standards, which may affect imports, repeatedly squeezing them :)
All of this points to one thing: control your positions, lower expectations, wait and see, and wait for big opportunities.
