Day trading is an advanced skill, more difficult than value investing. For value investing, a good company making a profit is a matter of time, though how much profit depends on the company itself. Usually, a company won't see significant growth without several years of development, and this should be reflected in its price (not the stock price, but the intrinsic value. The market only reflects the stock price, which fluctuates).

$Bilibili(BILI.US) It seems that going all in on day trading suits me better. At least I made a sixfold return last year, but I missed out on all the big gains this year. I've really lost confidence.

Whenever I hold for the long term, I never make money. It's really ridiculous. Value investing?

Held NVIDIA for over half a year, it didn't go up.

Held Tesla for a few months, it kept declining slowly.

Held Meta for a few months before breaking even.

Held Microsoft for over ten days and sold at a loss.

Held TSMC for a month, it didn't go up.

Held Intel for over ten days, made some profit. When I tried to buy again, my limit orders didn't fill several times, so I gave up. It then more than doubled.

Held Google for a few months, it didn't go up.

Held Micron for 8 days, lost 70%.

Limit buy order for SanDisk at 450 didn't fill, gave up.

Held AMD for most of the year, it kept declining slowly.

I decided to buy CRWV directly if it went below 70. Unfortunately, I was so disgusted by Micron's performance that I had no money left to buy.

I really don't know what I've been through this past year. I think even dumb luck should let me win once, but value investing never seems to work for me.

All my huge profits came from day trading? I don't really understand why. Why do my holdings never go up no matter how long I hold them? It reminds me of the first time I bought a fund, 10 yuan. It's been 7 years now, and it's still in the red. It's really ridiculous.

It's all value investing, and it's all stocks that never go up while I hold them.
