Just sharing these 3 slides from the Agility Robotics ($Churchill Capital XI(CCXI.US)) presentation.

For the pessimists of the US robotics project:

1. "75% of components" – from the US

2. Just eyeballing the chart, the mass-production BOM cost looks to be under $30k.

People were only looking at the ~$145k cost before.

3. 10,000-unit RoboFab capacity, and they're building in Salem/Pittsburgh/Fremont (US).

So it looks to be mostly US supply chain, targeting mass production cost under $30k.

They have Amazon / SoftBank / Foxconn / $NVIDIA(NVDA.US) as investors backing them, which certainly helps achieve the goal.

Just as a personal thought from a $Churchill Capital XI(CCXI.US) (NFA) shareholder:

My biggest personal concern is that a US humanoid leader like Tesla might build the entire supply chain in China. That way, US robotics could face export controls or disruptions in the future.

For example, South China Morning Post: 'Optimus Supply Chain': Chinese suppliers form the core of Tesla's humanoid robot plan, working with hundreds of Chinese component suppliers.

While Western companies may not be able to lower costs to a competitive level and be forced to use Chinese components.

I'm still not sure how they'll do it, but if Agility can achieve those mass production targets in the US/West at such a BOM cost. It would be a strong validation of a "Made in USA" robotics program.

In my view, the top five US humanoid robot projects with commercial potential currently are:

1. Tesla Optimus

2. Figure

3. Agility Robotics

4. Boston Dynamics (yes, KR parent)

5. Apptronik

Tesla is a company with a market cap over $1 trillion. Figure is private, valued at about $39 billion. Owning Boston Dynamics through Hyundai is a bit complicated.

And I personally prefer not to invest in projects with potential competitive risks. Therefore, I've personally been excited about Agility potentially going public as early as September.
