The China Iron and Steel Association held a seminar on the quality improvement and upgrading of the steel industry in Beijing. Representatives at the meeting conducted detailed discussions on the main content of the "14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Steel Industry" research report and put forward specific suggestions. Xia Nong, Vice President of the China Iron and Steel Association, emphasized that during the "14th Five-Year" period, domestic steel demand is generally showing a fluctuating downward trend. Enterprises should pay attention to production control as it is a transitional and critical period towards carbon emission control, and should study countermeasures related to low-carbon market policies. At the same time, there is still room and opportunity for the steel industry to expand its market. Under the requirements for high-quality development, green steel structure buildings have incomparable advantages, and efforts should be increased to promote them. After the meeting, the Planning and Development Department of the Steel Association will actively study and implement the opinions and suggestions put forward by the representatives, and further revise and improve the research report
