BYIS plans to implement a new 3500mm pre-straightening machine project for the plate mill, with a total investment not exceeding 35 million yuan

According to the announcement from BYIS (600581.SH), the company plans to increase the production of TMCP high-strength steel, including Q420 wind power bridge steel, Q550/Q690 coal machine steel, and 600MPa hydropower steel, in response to the demand for structural adjustments in medium and thick plate products, with a total proportion of 50%. The company intends to implement a new 3500mm pre-straightening machine project in the rolling mill, with a construction period of 264 days and a total investment not exceeding 35 million yuan, excluding tax.

Specifically, the project plans to build a 3500mm pre-straightening machine at the ACC entrance, which includes a complete set of pre-straightening machine equipment, as well as civil engineering foundations, hydraulic, electrical, lubrication, automation, power supply and distribution, and auxiliary facilities. The basic configuration of the pre-straightening machine adopts full hydraulic, quadruple tilting, and reversible design, with a maximum straightening force greater than 3100 tons, and the main motor power is 2×750kw, with one set of rollers in use and one as backup. The first 63 concentrated drive roller paths of the finishing mill will be changed to single transmission, utilizing existing roller paths.

After the project is implemented, the medium and thick plate unit will successfully possess the mass production capacity for all varieties and specifications of TMCP high-strength steel, effectively promoting the company's product structure towards high-end development and laying a solid foundation for enhancing market competitiveness
