Hong Kong stocks rose over 32% in the past Year of the Snake, marking the best performance in eight years. Even when measured by the Hang Seng Composite Index, it rose over 23% in the past year. The ecosystem of low-threshold high-yield stocks has also been reshuffled. After a certain increase in financial stocks, which previously held a significant share, their dividend returns have become less attractive. This stock selection focuses on those with returns above 4 cents and a certain daily trading volume, with some stock prices outperforming the Hang Seng Composite Index. Energy Stocks Covering Utility Stocks Hong Kong Electric and Honghua's Self-Developed Chips Have Prospects The list commonly features energy stocks, characterized by large market capitalization and high liquidity, providing defensive strength. Due to their low stock prices, they successfully fall into the category of low-threshold high-yield stocks, including Hong Kong Electric (2638), China Resources Gas (1193), and China Gas (384), with dividend yields ranging from 4.5 to 6.3 cents. In the past year, some gas sales have been mediocre, putting pressure on stock prices, but major firms are optimistic as dividend yields begin to attract attention. On the other hand, Honghua Smart Energy (1083) is transforming from a traditional gas operator to a digital energy service company, focusing on zero-carbon industrial park management, with projects applying their self-developed "Honghua Chip" to manage smart monitoring equipment. Local Stocks Show Improvement Early Deployment for High Yields Low-threshold stocks often feature local stocks, including Tai Hing Group (6811), BEST MART 360 (2360), and SA SA INT'L (178). The local catering and retail industries are still struggling, but some companies have shown improvement in profitability. SA SA recently benefited from an increase in tourists coming to Hong Kong, with same-store sales increasing by 14.7% year-on-year in the last quarter of last year, achieving better-than-expected sales. Notably, Tai Hing has a dividend yield of up to 12 cents, including special dividends; even excluding that factor, it still exceeds 5 cents, with net profit soaring 2.8 times in the first half of last year. As for BEST MART 360, it continues to distribute high dividends, with a yield exceeding 10 cents. Local Telecommunications Stocks Have 6 Cents Traditional Cash Cows Distributing High Dividends As for the three telecommunications stocks on the list, they are also local stocks, including HKT (215), SmarTone (315), and Hong Kong Broadband (1310), which have traditionally been low-threshold choices, with dividend yields ranging from 4.9 to 6.5 cents. In recent years, telecommunications companies have benefited from the demand for roaming services during travel, recording better operating cash flow, supporting continuous dividend distribution. Well-Known Domestic Stocks Have Low Entry Threshold Budweiser APAC is the Cheapest Many well-known domestic stocks also have low entry thresholds, including Giordano (709), China Feihe (6186), Budweiser APAC (1876), and Xtep International (1368). Affordable Special Valuation, Gambling Stocks Have Attractive Dividend Yields Additionally, some other industries are also among the high-yield stocks with low thresholds, including China Railway Construction (1186) under the "special valuation" concept, property management stock Greentown Management (9979), furniture manufacturer Man Wah Holdings (1999), and gambling stock Wynn Macau (1128). These stocks also have ample cash flow and dividend policies. Tesla Supplier Xinbang Holdings Reaches 12 Cents, Semiconductor Company Zhongdian Huada Has Low Threshold As for the highest yield on the list, automotive parts manufacturer Xinbang Holdings (1571) has a dividend yield of 12.5 cents, and it is one of Tesla's industry suppliers, not losing out compared to large-cap stocks. On the other hand, Zhongdian Huada Technology (085) is a rare affordable semiconductor company, with a minimum investment of less than 3,000 HKD, and its dividend payout ratio has remained stable at around 30% in recent years.
