During an interview, Henry Chan, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and CEO of Luen Thai International Group, stated that in recent years, the recognition and acceptance of Chinese brands among Hong Kong consumers have significantly increased. He believes that now is the right time for mainland brands to enter the Hong Kong market with more confidence and boldness. He mentioned that the current operating conditions of some theaters in Hong Kong are not ideal, and it is worth exploring the possibility of a joint entry by more than ten mainland brands into Hong Kong, transforming some theater spaces located in bustling areas with high foot traffic into brand display and sales venues.

He also pointed out that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's "Going Global Task Force" could take the lead in contacting relevant mainland ministries, collaborating with major property developers and retail management groups in Hong Kong to select large shopping malls in core retail areas such as Tsim Sha Tsui and Causeway Bay, or utilize currently vacant large retail spaces in prime locations to introduce a selection of high-quality mainland brands based on industry or regional themes
