China Machinery Industry Federation: Added Value of Machinery Industry Maintained Year-on-Year Growth in First Two Months of This Year

According to the China Machinery Industry Federation, from January to February this year, the added value of the five major categories of industries mainly involved in the machinery industry maintained a year-on-year growth trend. Among them, general equipment manufacturing grew by 8.9%, special equipment manufacturing grew by 8.8%, automobile manufacturing grew by 3.4%, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing grew by 8.7%, and instruments and meters manufacturing grew by 7.8%. Reporters noted that in the first two months of this year, the equipment manufacturing industry showed a good growth momentum, with its added value increasing by 9.3% year-on-year, 3.0 percentage points faster than the added value of all industrial enterprises above the designated size.
