New Xiang Group has reached a cooperation agreement with Kuwait's low-cost airline, Jazeera Airways, to establish a key cargo corridor to ensure the smooth supply chain of essential goods and air logistics in Kuwait and the surrounding areas amid the current complex international situation.
On Monday (April 13), New Xiang Group announced in a statement that it would provide cargo ground handling services for Jazeera Airways' Airbus A320neo aircraft departing from Dammam at its 60,000 square meter cargo facility operating at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
Since March 26 of this year, New Xiang Group's Dammam facility has begun handling all air cargo shipments from Jazeera Airways to Kuwait. These shipments include general cargo as well as perishable goods such as frozen meats and fruits and vegetables, which are transported overland to Kuwait after unloading in Dammam. This corridor complements the base that Jazeera Airways launched at King Khalid International Airport in Saudi Arabia on March 11.
Xu Qingmu, CEO of New Xiang Group's port services, stated that by transporting essential items such as food, medical supplies, and critical spare parts, they hope to maintain important air cargo connections to Kuwait during this challenging period.

He said: &#34;As the situation in the Middle East continues to change, we will leverage the global network of SATS, which spans 27 countries, to minimize disruptions to our customers and continue to work closely with our airline and logistics partners as routes and flights evolve.&#34;
SATS also pointed out that the group has facilities in Saudi Arabia and Oman, which can serve as alternative gateways to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, assisting in the flow of goods when airspace is restricted.
