Rural Credit Reforms Enter Intensive Implementation Phase in Multiple Regions
Since 2026, rural credit system reforms have achieved continuous breakthroughs in Ningxia, Gansu, and other regions. From the merger of 19 rural commercial banks in Ningxia into Huanghe Rural Commercial Bank, to the launch of the second batch of institutional integrations following the establishment of Gansu Rural Commercial Bank, to the ongoing exploration of forming unified legal entity rural commercial banks at the prefecture level in Guangxi and other areas, localities have accelerated rural credit system reforms under the framework of 'one province, one policy'. The trend of reducing the number of small and medium-sized banks while improving their quality is becoming increasingly clear. Guided by the principle of 'one province, one policy', more than ten regions have already completed their rural credit system reforms, and the reform models exhibit a diversified pattern.
