Under the banner of "Big Banks," the forecast for April's gaming revenue in Macau has been downgraded to MOP 20.5 billion
Citi published a research report indicating that industry data shows that Macau's gaming revenue for the first 12 days of April may reach approximately MOP 7.95 billion, which means that the average daily gaming revenue for the past 5 days is about MOP 630 million, approximately 8% lower than the first 7 days of April, but the performance remains generally stable. The bank believes that the weak gaming revenue is due to the VIP room win rate being far below normal levels.
Looking ahead, the bank believes that Thai singer Billkin will hold a concert in Macau, and the Weibo International Entertainment Gala will be held at the Galaxy Macau, which is expected to alleviate the potential weak performance of gaming revenue before the Labor Day Golden Week.
Based on the gaming performance so far this month, the bank cautiously lowered its gaming revenue forecast for April this year from MOP 21 billion to MOP 20.5 billion, indicating that the average daily gaming revenue for the remaining days of this month is expected to be around MOP 697 million
