
Shanghai's Foreign Trade Imports and Exports in Q1 Grew by 21.9% Year-on-Year; Industrial and Surgical Robot Exports Doubled
According to statistics from the Shanghai Customs, Shanghai's total foreign trade imports and exports in the first quarter reached 1.23 trillion yuan, a 21.9% year-on-year increase; at the same time, the single-month import and export volume in March climbed to 431.04 billion yuan, achieving a strong start marked by "record highs for both the quarter and the month." From a structural perspective, exports totaled 537.37 billion yuan, growing by 16.3%, while imports reached 690.03 billion yuan, up 26.6%, with both ends working together and moving towards balance. From a trend perspective, imports and exports have maintained year-on-year growth for 14 consecutive months, with exports rising for 18 consecutive months, fully highlighting the profound foundation and strong resilience of Shanghai's foreign trade in facing complex environments.
