New Breakthrough: China's First 100,000 Household Hydrogen Blending Natural Gas Application Project Launched
China's first large-scale application project for hydrogen blending in natural gas, involving 100,000 households, officially launched today in Weifang, Shandong. The project relies on the existing urban natural gas pipeline infrastructure in Weifang, enabling stable hydrogen blending and distribution of natural gas. Preliminary estimates suggest that if a 10% hydrogen blending ratio is applied to urban gas consumption nationwide, it could replace approximately 15 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually, corresponding to a reduction of about 30 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
