AI and high-performance PCB manufacturer and NVIDIA (NVDA.US) supplier Shenghong (02476.HK) debuted on its first day, opening at HKD 330, up 57.2% from the listing price of HKD 209.88. In the chip sector, SMIC (00981.HK) and Hua Hong (01347.HK) opened up 0.8% and 0.6%, respectively, while Changguang Chuangxin (03277.HK) opened up 3.4%. AI stocks Zhizhu (02513.HK) and MiniMax (00100.HK) opened up 0.2% and 0.1%, respectively, while Manycore Tech (00068.HK) opened down 1.2%.
In other tech stocks, Tencent (00700.HK) opened up 0.1% at HKD 523, Alibaba (09988.HK), Meituan (03690.HK), and JD.com (09618.HK) opened up 0.7% to 0.9%, Baidu (09888.HK) opened up 1.6%, Kuaishou (01024.HK) opened flat at HKD 46.98, and NetEase (09999.HK) opened up 0.3%, at HKD 184.3. In the automotive sector, BYD (01211.HK) opened up 1% at HKD 111.1, while Xiaomi (01810.HK) opened flat at HKD 32.32.
In other stocks, HSBC (00005.HK) opened flat at HKD 142.2, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (00388.HK) opened up 0.8%, and AIA (01299.HK) opened down 0.7%. China Mobile (00941.HK) reported a first-quarter net profit of RMB 29.3 billion, down 4.2%, with the stock opening up 0.2% at HKD 82. It was reported that SF Holding (06936.HK) is considering issuing convertible bonds to raise up to USD 1 billion, with the stock opening down 0.1%. Weisheng Holdings (03393.HK) had a discount of over 6% on its rights issue, netting HKD 1.474 billion, with the stock opening down 3.3%. Zhongjiu Mobile (00302.HK) had a discount of over 6% on its rights issue, netting HKD 29.5 million, with the stock opening up 13.5%
