April 22 Midday Market Review: ChiNext Index Opens Low and Rises, Gaining 0.63%; Optical Fiber Concepts Continue to Surge

The market opened low in the morning but recovered, with all three major indices posting modest gains. Optical fiber concept stocks continued to surge, with Yongding Shares, Hangdian Shares, Guangdian Shares, and others hitting the limit up. The non-ferrous metals sector rallied, with Zinc Industry Shares, Yugang Jinliao, and Zhuye Group hitting the limit up. Sodium battery concept stocks were active, with Xiangfenghua surging 20% to hit the limit up. On the downside, film and television stocks collectively adjusted, with Raylight Media and Bona Film Group falling more than 6%. Individual stock performances mixed, with total morning trading volume reaching 1.59 trillion yuan. At the midday close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.24%, the Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.63%, and the ChiNext Index rose 0.63%.
