Vietnam ranks 18th among world’s top exporters

Vietnam has become the world's 18th largest exporting economy, with nearly US$473 billion in turnover for 2025, according to Statista. Among the top 30 exporters, 11 are Asian economies, with China leading at $3.8 trillion, followed by the U.S. at $2.2 trillion and Germany at $1.8 trillion. Vietnam's exports surged over 16% from 2024, driven by electronics and machinery, achieving a trade surplus of over $20 billion. Total trade has grown from $100 billion in 2009 to $930 billion last year, nearing $1 trillion soon.
