U.S. stocks traded mixed this morning, with the Nasdaq Composite gaining more than 100 points on Friday.



Following the market opening Friday, the Dow traded down 0.35% to 49,138.10 while the NASDAQ rose 0.56% to 24,575.70. The S&amp;P 500 also rose, gaining, 0.19% to 7,122.01.



Leading and Lagging Sectors



Information technology shares jumped by 1.1% on Friday.



In trading on Friday, health care stocks fell by 1.1%.



Top Headline



Intel Corp. (NASDAQ:INTC) shares jumped more than 23% on Friday after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter financial results and issued second-quarter guidance above estimates.



Intel reported quarterly earnings of 29 cents per share, which blew past the analyst consensus estimate of one cent, according to Benzinga Pro data.  Quarterly revenue came in at $13.58 billion, which beat the Street estimate of $12.42 billion.



Equities Trading UP

<li>Scinai Immunotherapeutics Ltd – ADR (NASDAQ:SCNI) shares shot up 65% to $0.75 after the company announced a $2.61 million private placement financing.</li>



<li>Shares of Maxlinear Inc (NASDAQ:MXL) got a boost, surging 65% to $56.44 after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter financial results and issued second-quarter sales guidance above estimates.</li>



<li>Aeye Inc (NASDAQ:LIDR) shares were also up, gaining 50% to $2.52 following the appointment of Paul Berton as the company’s new Vice President of Operations and Quality.</li>

Equities Trading DOWN

<li>Auddia Inc (NASDAQ:AUUD) shares dropped 64% to $1.82 after the company announced pricing of $12 million public offering.</li>



<li>Shares of Chanson International Holding (NASDAQ:CHSN) were down 52% to $1.19.</li>



<li>Sonoma Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ:SNOA) was down, falling 45% to $0.99 after the company announced pricing of $4 million public offering.</li>
</ul>



Commodities In commodity news, oil traded down 0.5% to $95.42 while gold traded up 0.1% at $4,728.60.



Silver traded up 0.4% to $75.765 on Friday, while copper fell 1% to $6.0270.



Euro zone



European shares were lower today. The eurozone's STOXX 600 declined 0.6%, while Spain's IBEX 35 Index fell 1%. London's FTSE 100 fell 0.5%, Germany's DAX slipped 0.2% and France's CAC 40 fell 0.8% during the session.



Asia Pacific Markets



Asian markets closed mixed on Friday, with Japan's Nikkei 225 gaining 0.97%, China's Shanghai Composite declining 0.33%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rising 0.24% and India's BSE Sensex dropping 1.29%.



Economics



The University of Michigan's Consumer Sentiment Index rose to 49.8 in April versus preliminary reading of 47.6.
