The benefits provide Outpatient Department (OPD) coverage for routine medical expenses, hospitalization support for inpatient care, and compensation for temporary or permanent disabilities ensuring both immediate medical needs and income loss due to injury are covered. These benefits will be rolled out to associates across all last-mile programs. Mediclaim coverage will be increased up to ₹1.5 lakh, OPD expenses of up to ₹10,000 are now covered, and Group Personal Accident coverage has been expanded up to ₹10 lakh.The wellness benefits cover associates and up to three family members annually, includes unlimited multilingual virtual doctor consultations and two free in-person OPD visits per family each year. Additional support includes discounts on diagnostics, pharmacy, dental and eye care, along with tools that encourage preventive health and fitness.Amazon has also organised nationwide health camps, in collaboration with a third-party insurer, to provide free health check-ups to tens of thousands of delivery associates. The medical camps provide essential health services including eye examinations, dental check-ups, BMI assessments, and general physician consultations. Amazon last week announced expansion of its network of Ashray centres to 250 in 2026, building on its current network of 100 centres. As part of this expansion, the company plans to open 50 new centres by the end of May. Ambulance Services, Emergency Support &amp; Associate Safety - Amazon India provides delivery associates with 24/7 emergency support, including no-cost ambulance services (in partnership with Dial 4242) with basic and advanced life support across 730+ cities, along with dedicated helplines and emergency assistance. This is reinforced by preventive wellness campaigns, mandatory pre-trip vehicle checks, and real-time weather alerts that enable measures like defensive driving training during monsoons and additional rest breaks in extreme heat.Road Safety Training for Delivery Associates and Drivers - To mark National Road Safety Month, earlier this year, Amazon rolled out a nationwide road safety awareness and training programme, reaching hundreds of thousands of delivery associates, partners, and truck drivers across its last-mile and middle-mile operations. The initiative reinforced safer driving and riding practices through a mix of mandatory on-ground training and interactive learning sessions. The program focused on key aspects of everyday road safety, including helmet and seatbelt compliance, speed management, distraction prevention, emergency preparedness, and safe vehicle handling.Pratidhi Scholarship – Pratidhi is Amazon India’s flagship scholarship programme aimed at expanding educational opportunity for the children of delivery associates and partners. Providing financial support for higher education, Pratidhi enables recipients to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate study across fields, lifting economic barriers and creating a pathway to expanded opportunity.
