Tether has submitted a trademark application for its company name and logo in South Korea, according to a filing on May 14. According to NS3.AI, the Korean Intellectual Property Office's information search service indicates that Tether's previous domestic filings were primarily focused on stablecoin product names. This recent application is seen by some as a possible indication of Tether's intention to expand its presence in the South Korean market. Notably, Circle made a similar trademark application last December.
