When Tesla first opened up orders for the Model 3 Premium RWD in Canada last month, the new variant was listed with a surprisingly quick 0-100 km/h time of 4.2 seconds. However, it was too good to be true and within roughly 12 hours, that figure was revised to 5.2 seconds, a change that we assumed was simply a correction to a set of specs that were incorrectly posted on Tesla’s website. Now, nearly three weeks after the vehicle’s debut, Tesla has updated the spec yet again. The Premium RWD is currently listed with a 0-100 km/h time of 6.2 seconds, making it a full two seconds slower than originally advertised. Additionally, Tesla also updated the Supercharging speeds, lowering them from a peak of 250kW to 175kW, dispelling rumours of a potential battery supplier change. While the first change to the acceleration can be mostly explained away to what appeared to be a copy and paste error, changing the spec again, and again by a full second, will be more difficult for some customers to overlook. And frankly, when you take all of the changes into account, it does not put Tesla in a good light and the company should be offering some kind of goodwill gesture or compensation. However, customers who are unhappy with the latest performance change have limited options. Tesla is allowing buyers to cancel their reservation and receive a refund of their deposit prior to taking delivery, but there does not appear to be any additional recourse beyond that. Whether the latest 6.2-second figure is final remains unclear, but after multiple revisions over several weeks, some buyers may now be questioning whether other specs will be updated before the cars are finally delivered early next month. </div></div>
