<div id="readability-page-1"><div><p>[SINGAPORE] Singapore stocks ended higher on Thursday (May 21).</p><p>The benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) gained 0.02 per cent or 0.80 points to finish at 5,045.71.</p><p> Venture Corporation  led the gainers on Singapore’s blue-chip index, rising 2.5 per cent or S$0.43 to end at S$17.65.</p><p>The worst performer among STI constituents was  Singtel , falling 6.4 per cent or S$0.32 to close at S$4.70. The telco had earlier posted a H2 net profit of S$2.2 billion, down 20.9 per cent from the year-ago period.</p><p>The three local banks ended higher.
