Thailand and Iran have reached an agreement to ensure the safe passage of Thai oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, in response to rising oil prices caused by the situation in the Middle East. Thai Prime Minister Anutin emphasized that the government will focus on diplomatic coordination, energy security, commodity price control, and the livelihoods of the people, while calling for public energy conservation. Foreign Minister Sihasak proposed convening a special ASEAN Foreign Ministers meeting to discuss solutions for easing tensions, and the government is also seeking additional energy sources
